Many thousands of people seek counselling or therapy for mental health problems each year. Although counselling can’t “fix” your life, it can enable you to cope more effectively with your problems, understand your internal conflicts, and develop a feeling of confidence and comfort with yourself.
There are many types of therapists available and you can find one by referral from a doctor, school, employee assistance program, or a friend. If you are unsure of which type of therapist you require, please contact CMHA – Calgary Region at 403.297.1700 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and someone will help you.
